Join Beech Hurst for summer fun to celebrate Care Home Open Day

Home news

Beech Hurst is inviting local people to visit the home on Friday 16th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.

From 1pm-4.30pm, the team at Beech Hurst will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

Beech Hurst has organised a summer garden party to celebrate the open day. Visitors to the fun-filled event are invited to wear their best Sunday hats in honour of the special day. Visitors can also enjoy a barbecue prepared by the home’s chefs, and a selection of other tasty snacks and refreshments will also be available. There will be fun outdoor activities for visitors of all ages. Dogs will be welcomed and prizes awarded to the ‘best of show’. The home’s friendly team will also be on hand to give visitors a closer look at what life is like at Beech Hurst.

Philippa Lake, Home Manager at Beech Hurst, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.

“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Beech Hurst has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Haywards Heath.”
