Join Wellmeadow Lodge for summer fun to celebrate Care Home Open Day

Company news

Wellmeadow Lodge is inviting local people to visit the home on Friday 16th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.

From 2pm-4pm, the team at Wellmeadow Lodge will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

Wellmeadow Lodge has organised a summer garden party to celebrate the open day. There will be fun and games for all the family and guests can sample freshly cooked dishes from around the globe, from Caribbean specialities to Italian classics all prepared by the home’s chef Anna Chwalek.

Those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Wellmeadow Lodge and take a tour of the care home.

Catherine Brannan, home manager at Wellmeadow Lodge, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.

“We cannot wait to open our doors to the community to showcase everything Wellmeadow Lodge has to offer and the difference care homes make to residents’ lives and their wellbeing. We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Newton Mearns.”
