Chalfont Court residents enjoyed a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

Company news

Residents at Chalfont Court welcomed local people for a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to celebrate Care Home Open Day.

Chalfont Court was one of thousands of care homes across the UK to take part in the annual initiative aimed at challenging perceptions of care homes, connecting residents with people in their community, and developing relationships across the generations.

To celebrate the open day, the team at Chalfont Court organised a mad hatter’s tea party where residents and visitors had the opportunity to ‘step through the looking glass’ and enjoy a selection of tasty treats. Visitors and residents also had fun meeting therapy ponies, taking part in arts and crafts and joined the mad hatter on his bunny hunt.

Linda Taylor, home manager at Chalfont Court, said: “Our doors are always open, but Care Home Open Day is a particular highlight each year as it is a brilliant opportunity to showcase our home and celebrate with visitors, residents and colleagues alike.

“This year’s event was a real success, and everyone enjoyed getting involved in the activities and building our links within the local community. We hope that all our visitors enjoyed themselves as much as we did and look forward to welcoming them back to the home for events in the future.”
