Eastcote Mayor to join Whitby Dene summer celebrations

Whitby Dene is inviting the local community to join them on Friday 12th August for its summer fete with special guest the Mayor of Hillingdon.

From 1pm-5pm, local people are invited to drop into Whitby Dene to share in the fun, games and summer celebrations at this year’s event.

Residents and guests will be joined by special guest the Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor Carol Melvin, for an afternoon of entertainment, where they will be treated to a delicious barbecue. There will be fun for all the family with a bouncy castle, ball pit and plenty stalls for a spot of shopping.

There will also be live music from John Longo, and Arch Productions will be on hand to keep everyone entertained throughout the afternoon. There will be a special visit from Mill Cottage Farm Experience and those feeling brave enough will be able to get up close with creatures great and small.

Saad Baig, home manager at Whitby Dene, commented: “Hosting a summer fair provides us with a great opportunity to invite the local community to join us for a day of exciting family-friendly activities. There is a real buzz around the care home already, with preparations now well underway, and we’re delighted that the Mayor of Hillingdon will be joining us for this special event.
