Now in its nineteenth year, the National Care Awards is the longest established annual awards and is organised by social care’s leading publication, Caring Times.
Jon Sneath, activities coordinator at Priors House has been shortlisted in the national competition alongside six other care home coordinators/facilitators from across the UK.
Team members at Priors House in Leamington Spa have praised Jon Sneath for his hard work in creating a buzz around the care home, with a wide variety of activities on offer on a daily basis. From exercise classes and arts and crafts, to baking and cheese tasting, Jon is always thinking of new and creative ways to engage with residents and ensure they live active and fulfilled lives.
Jon said: “I’m thrilled to have been shortlisted for this award. I thoroughly enjoy my job and find it very rewarding – there is nothing better than seeing a resident smile after taking part in one of my activities.”
Francine Summers, home manager, added: “The National Care Awards is a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the talent within the care sector. We’re so pleased that Jon has been recognised, he is an absolute joy to work with and always brings so much enthusiasm and passion to the role.
