Let’s bring the dog races to Ventress Hall

At a recent monthly residents and relatives meeting at Ventress Hall, residents were asked if there were any new activities they would like to do at the home, and it was suggested we hold a ‘race night’.

So on 21st November 2017 dog racing night was held, having purchased a DVD with 10 races on. Each resident or staff member picked their dog by name or number and proceeded to cheer for their dog to win. The winners received a raffle ticket and the resident with the most raffle tickets won a prize.

A buffet and refreshments were also enjoyed on the night, accompanied by a great deal of laughter and cheering! The event was a resounding success with everyone having a fabulous time, and will no doubt be repeated again in the future.
