The team, along with four residents at The Potteries care home on York Road, took part in a six mile circuit along the seafront, raising over £360 for the charity.
Throughout the year, thousands of people of all ages and abilities join their local Alzheimer’s Memory Walks, all to help raise money for a ‘world without dementia.’
Zita Turner, home manager at The Potteries, said: “We had a great time taking part in a memory walk along the seafront in Poole for the Alzheimer’s Society, and we were thrilled to be supported by so many relatives and friends of The Potteries.
“At The Potteries, we are always looking for ways of raising awareness of dementia, and this was a wonderful opportunity to raise funds for a charity close to the hearts of everyone at The Potteries. We hope the local community will follow in the residents’ footsteps in taking part in their own memory walk in aid of this worthwhile cause.”
