Although we are unable to offer in-person show rounds at this time, we are still available to help and support you if you are looking for care for yourself or a loved one. Call to speak to one of our friendly team who can answer any questions you may have about the care and daily life at The Potteries.
The Potteries care home delivers a wide range of quality care services. We take pride in offering care that’s as unique as your loved one.
Our lovely, purpose-built care home is in the suburb of Broadstone, just a few miles from the centre of the seaside town of Poole. Here we deliver a full range of care services for older people, from permanent residential and nursing care to respite care. We’ve also developed a superb reputation for the dementia care we provide. Our skilled team sees the person behind the dementia, understanding what brings a resident joy, so that each day is filled with meaningful experiences.
Uniquely tailored care
We believe that the best care is tailored care. When your loved one joins us, we work with them and you to learn all about their life history, likes and dislikes. We then put together care and lifestyle plans that are tailored to their individual needs and interests.
Our lifestyle team organises different daily activities, from bingo and gardening to armchair exercise and singalongs. We’ve had visits from a petting zoo, with snakes, owls and ferrets. We’ve held a mini Olympics, and residents love the regular visit from the local nursery group. We also spend time with residents individually, supporting them to continue with hobbies, or even to try something new.
Stunning facilities, enjoyable outings
Our coffee shop is the hub of the home, where tea, coffee and cake are always flowing. There’s a cinema with regular showings of residents’ favourite films, plus a hair and beauty salon providing pamper sessions.
We regularly get out and about – to the shops, a local attraction, or to a local pub for lunch. Some of our residents have even gone on holiday: they enjoyed a summer break at one of our sister homes, Sherwood Grange, in South London.
