The Potteries

Trusted to care in Broadstone, Poole, Dorset

The Potteries

Welcome to The Potteries

Our lovely, purpose-built care home is in the suburb of Broadstone, just a few miles from the centre of the seaside town of Poole in Dorset. Here we deliver a full range of care services for older people, from permanent residential and nursing care to short term respite care. Our experienced team also provides nursing care, dementia care and compassionate end of life care.

When your loved one joins us, we work with them and you to learn all about their life history, likes and dislikes. We then put together care and lifestyle plans that are tailored to their individual needs and interests.

Our coffee shop is the hub of the home, where tea, coffee and cake are always flowing. There’s a cinema with regular showings of residents’ favourite films, plus a hair and beauty salon providing pamper sessions.

What others have to say

Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at The Potteries care home.

My sister and I have just returned from our first visit to see Mum. I just wanted to say how lovely her room is and how the staff have been really helpful. Mum seems really well considering her great age and even she said ‘I like this room’. Thank you for all your help in this, it’s a great weight off our minds seeing Mum settled.

To all the wonderful staff at The Potteries care home. Thank you! Mabel never missed an opportunity to tell us how fortunate she was to live in such pleasant and incredibly clean surroundings. Quite an achievement for a lady who could spot a tiny ant scuttling down in the grass! I know where I want to live if I should require a care home! Well done team!

To all the staff in the Dolphin Suite. Thank you all so much for all the care and understanding you gave to my very dear friend John Wilson. You all do a wonderful job. Thank you also for allowing me to talk each day to John.

Friend of resident, April 2021

To all the staff at The Potteries, thank you so much for all the love and care you gave my Aunt. It meant a lot to us knowing how well you looked after her, particularly during this difficult year. Thank you.
