Guests at the grand launch of Snowdrop House enjoyed a host of entertainment as part of its opening celebrations.
The team were joined by the home’s first residents Eileen Bacon and Shirley Warner who helped Councillor Alexander Curtis cut the ribbon and officially open the care home.
There were plenty of fun activities on offer for all the family, including a residents’ arts and crafts session with local group, Creative Minds, musical entertainment from local harpist, Caolan Walpot, and silhouette artist, Charles Burns, also known as ‘The Roving Artist’ keeping guests entertained throughout the afternoon.
Snowdrop House home manager, Cheryl Forshaw, said: “We were delighted to welcome Councillor Alexander Curtis to officially open the home and mark this important milestone. We would also like to thank everyone who helped to make this such a special day.
“The residents and their families are at the heart of everything we do, including the launch celebrations, and it was an enjoyable day for all. It was fantastic to welcome so many local people and special guests to Snowdrop House. Our grand launch really was a day to remember.”
