Welcome to Snowdrop House

Our purpose-built care home in Ware, Hertfordshire provides round the clock care combined with a luxurious lifestyle. The team at Snowdrop House deliver personalised care services for older people, including residential care, dementia care, nursing care, and short-term respite care. We also offer sensitive, supportive palliative and end of life care.

Snowdrop House is more like a hotel than a care home. It’s spacious and light, with its own hair salon, coffee shop, comfortable lounges, and a cinema. Each bedroom is individually styled and has its own en-suite facilities. Many of the rooms on the ground floor have their own patio doors, opening directly onto our lovely gardens.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

The dedicated and experienced team at Snowdrop House will provide your loved one with care that is completely tailored to their individual needs and wishes.

My favourite part of the working day is motivating the staff to ensure the residents are their main focus of the day, creating memorable moments, laughter and joy. My biggest professional challenge so far has been saving a person's life and then continue to watch them grow and flourish.

The team takes the time to listen to my loved one, and they have really got to know her as a person. They are always checking in on her and checking she has everything she needs. They treat her like a member of their own family, always gently encouraging her to participate in activities and socialise a little... they are really good at making sure she has some stimulation outside of her room each day.

The team knows everyone there! It's a very cheerful bunch, and they create a pleasant atmosphere for the residents… they burst into song and they dance with them, they chat and have a laugh. It's all about making the day a little brighter for the residents... they do a brilliant job.

My loved one has dementia, and she can be quite rude and problematic… the team members have all been brilliant with her. I've seen her have a major outburst, and they are all so calm… they never get short tempered or take it personally, they handle her attitude beautifully.
