Residents received a special visit from the 1st Welford on Avon Brownies pack for day of Easter-themed arts and crafts.
The visit coincided with a kindness challenge which the children are taking part in. The challenge has been organised by charity People United, which encourages people to spread happiness throughout communities.
During the visit, the Brownies and residents planted daffodils and made Easter crafts, including greeting cards, coasters, bunting and a beautiful Easter tree full of decorations and Easter wishes. At the end of the day, each Brownie received their ‘kindness’ badge.
Clare Mudge, home manager at Ambleside, said: “Here at Ambleside, activity based care is at the heart of everything we do and Easter is always a special time of the year for our residents, so it was great to have the Brownies joining us for a fun-filled day.”
“Intergenerational relationships have been proven to be beneficial to older people, and it was certainly a highlight of the day for the residents at Ambleside. Our residents really enjoyed making crafts with the children.”
