Join Buchanan Court for fun from around the world this Care Home Open Day

Company news

Buchanan Court is inviting local people to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.

On Saturday 21st April, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Buchanan Court will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

Buchanan Court has organised a Commonwealth themed party to celebrate the open day. There will be homemade bunting, inspired by countries from around the Commonwealth, decorating the home, and visitors can look forward to a local entertainer Shareen Gray playing the steel drums. There will also be dishes from across the continents, prepared fresh by the home’s head chef, as well as complementary refreshments for everyone to enjoy. Visitors will also have a chance to meet Buchanan Court’s friendly team who will be in traditional dress from Commonwealth countries.

Zena Khudawes, customer relations manager at Buchanan Court, said: “At Buchanan Court, we’re always looking for ways to get to know our neighbours and building relationships with the local community. Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of bringing generations together for a fun-filled day.

“We look forward to welcoming the people of Harrow for what promises to be a fantastic open day in honour of the Commonwealth.”
