On Saturday 21st April, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Cairdean House will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Cairdean House has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day and the home’s fifth anniversary. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include performances by the Military Wives Choir and Cairdean House’s own singing group. For younger guests, there will be face painting, a bouncy castle and goodie bags – as well as a visit from some friendly alpacas!
Gillian Goodall, home manager at Cairdean House, said: “At Cairdean House, we’re always looking for ways to get to know our neighbours better and build relationships with the local community. Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of bringing generations together for a fun-filled day, showcasing all that the home has to offer.
“We look forward to welcoming the people of Cairdean House for what promises to be another fantastic open day.”
