On Friday 20th April, from 1pm-3pm, the team at Church View will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, the team has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. Entertainment will include an indoor street party and arts and crafts workshops for people to make their own crowns. There will also be a traditional English buffet for visitors to enjoy as well as live music.
Michelle Daglish, home manager at Church View, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the local community that spans the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to showcase everything Church View has to offer, and the difference care homes can make to peoples’ lives and their wellbeing. Residents have enjoyed creating homemade crowns ahead of the royal celebration, and we look forward to welcoming the people of Murton for what promises to be a fun-filled day.”
