On Friday 20 April, from 2pm–4pm the team at Clara Court will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Clara Court has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include royal fancy dress, a barbecue and a traditional cream tea. There will also be a special visit from a variety of friendly farm animals.
Debbie Winwood, home manager at Clara Court, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the local community that spans the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to showcase everything Clara Court has to offer, and the difference care homes can make to peoples’ lives and their wellbeing. Residents have enjoyed creating homemade crowns ahead of the royal celebration, and we look forward to welcoming the people of Maidenhead for what promises to be a fun-filled day.”
