On Saturday 21st April, from 2pm-5pm, the team at Snowdrop House will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Snowdrop House has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include ‘a day at the beach’ themed activities, as well as a sand castle making session and a fancy dress competition. Guests will also be able to enjoy live musical entertainment, karaoke and a magic show. There will be a selection of delicious food available, including a barbecue, fish and chips, candy floss and ice cream for those with a sweet tooth.
Cheryl Forshaw, home manager at Snowdrop House, said: “Care Home Open Day provides residents and the Care UK team with a fantastic opportunity to welcome the local community in to home. There is already a buzz around the home, as residents prepare for the big day. We hope that the people of Ware will join us in celebrating the Queen’s birthday and making this year’s Care Home Open Day one to remember.”
