Little Holland Hall is shortlisted for national award

Company news

Little Holland Hall is celebrating after being shortlisted for two national awards.

Little Holland Hall has been shortlisted in the Best Specialist Care category and Best Communication category at the Care Home Awards 2018.

The Care Home Awards are held annually to celebrate the very best people in the long-term care sector, culminating in an awards ceremony on Wednesday 27th June. The 17 categories highlight excellence within the care sector, and reward those who work tirelessly to provide consistently outstanding care.

In the nomination for Best Specialist Care, the team members at Little Holland Hall were described as having a strong culture and excellent reputation. They have created a calm, home-from-home atmosphere for residents and work tirelessly to ensure they are enhancing all aspects of the residents’ lives.

The care home’s second nomination for Best Communication focused largely on the close-knit, dedicated team at Little Holland Hall. It was noted that the team members have regular face-to-face time with relatives, and they build meaningful relationships with them and their loved ones. The Care UK team also strives to make the residents’ wishes come true, from re-visiting a childhood home to watching their favourite football team play.

Home manager at Little Holland Hall, James Foord said: “We are thrilled to have been nominated for two awards in this year’s Care Home Awards.

“At Little Holland Hall, we place great emphasis on residents to ensure that everything they do or experience is meaningful and life enhancing. Our activity based care approach means that residents are welcome to help around the home if they wish, and our extensive range of activities and regular outings aim to offer something for everyone.

“I wish everyone the best of luck at the awards, and have my fingers crossed we walk away as winners!”
