Summer fun at Davers Court

Home news

Residents at Davers Court were joined by the local community for a day of family fun at its annual summer fête.

There was something for everyone to enjoy at the event, from face painting and sweet stalls, to traditional games including a tombola and raffle.

The party was in full swing throughout the day with a musical performance from local artist, Patrick Sawyer, who kept everyone entertained with nostalgic hits from the residents’ younger years.

Wendy Harvey, home manager at Davers Court, said: “We host many events throughout the year at Davers Court, but our summer fête is a particular highlight – and when the sun is shining, it’s even better!

“This year’s event did not disappoint and we all had a fantastic day making the most of the entertainment on offer. It’s so lovely for the residents to be able to build relationships with community groups and visitors, and it’s clear to see by the smiles on their faces how much they benefit from events like these.

“I’d like to thank everyone for joining us in making it so special, and we hope everyone who shared the day with us enjoyed it as much as we did.”
