Ambleside is opening its doors on Wednesday 18th July to the local community and the residents of 10 other Care UK homes, to get involved with its circus-themed event.
Between 11am-4pm, stilt walkers and jugglers will entertain the crowd, and the residents and guests will get the opportunity to master circus skills at a workshop, as well as balloon modelling.
Everyone is encouraged to arrive in their best fancy dress for the occasion and prizes will be handed out throughout the day for the best costume, dressed tent, resident involvement, pudding making, and balloon modelling.
Shetland ponies will also be attending the circus, with a petting area giving attendees the chance to meet and feed the ponies. Attendees won’t need to worry about getting hungry themselves, as Ambleside will be serving up a BBQ with hotdogs, burgers and pizza.
Clare Mudge, home manager at Care UK’s Ambleside, said “We are counting down the days to welcoming the local community and residents of other Care UK homes to our circus.
“At Ambleside, we’re really proud of the fun environment that has been created, and our door is always open to welcoming the local community to our home. We are always looking at new ways to entertain the residents and their families, and hope the local community will join us for what I’m certain will be a fantastic day at the circus.”
