Snowdrop House helps keep the community safe with free advice event

Home news

Snowdrop House is inviting the local community to a free event for those wanting to find out more about keeping themselves or a loved one safe while living at home.

On Wednesday 3rd July, from 2:30pm - 4:30pm, the team at Snowdrop House will open the doors to the care home for its ‘Staying safe and secure in older age’ event.

Craig Griffin, from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, will be on hand to deliver an informative session on fire safety and Fax Siraj, NatWest’s community banker, will also offer expert information on fraud awareness and reporting a scam.

After the event there will be a Q&A session, refreshments and an opportunity to meet the team at Snowdrop House, as well as take a closer look at the care home.

Home manager, Clare Crow, said: “Here at Snowdrop House,we understand that providing advice onthe importance of staying safe on the internet and at home can be incredibly helpful for everyone - especially for older people, as they are often targeted by scams and cold calling.

“We are delighted to have Craig and Fax join us for our event, and hope the session provides professional guidance that local people will benefit from.
