A care home in Maidenhead is celebrating after it was recognised at a national awards ceremony.
The Residential Care Services (RCS) Stars awards recognise individual and team excellence at more than 120 care homes nationwide across Care UK.
Clara Court, on Courthouse Road, beat the competition to take the coveted Home of the Year award, one of 20 accolades handed out during the event.
The panel of judges praised the home for its positive approach to care, focusing on what residents are able to do rather than what they aren’t. However, it was the home team’s ability to innovate and strive to always deliver the highest possible standards of care which judges felt set it apart from competitors in the category.
Debbie Winwood, home manager at Clara Court, said: “We had a wonderful evening at the RCS Awards ceremony. Hearing about our colleagues’ hard work and commitment to help residents living fulfilling lives was truly inspiring.
“It’s been an incredible year for Clara Court, from being rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC to receiving the ‘Home of the Year’ accolade in front of all of our friends and colleagues. We always strive to help residents live as independently as possible, so I’m so pleased our efforts have been recognised.
“This award is a testament to our talented team’s hard work and dedication in making Clara Court a wonderful place to live, so I would like to say a big thank you to them.”
Clara Court is a modern and welcoming care home designed to deliver the very best standards of care, and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home offers a range of services including residential care and specialist dementia care.
