Party time – Bromsgrove care come celebrates fourth birthday

A care home in Bromsgrove has celebrated is fourth anniversary in style. 

Residents at Chandler Court, on Recreation Road, pulled out all the stops for a special birthday bash, four years after it welcomed the first residents.

Residents had the opportunity to tap their feet and sing-along to music, while sipping on a glass of prosecco to mark the occasion. The team also decorated the home and Chef, Dean Hill, prepared a buffet spread and special birthday cake for everyone to enjoy. 

During the celebration, resident Joan Whitton said: “I have been at Chandler Court for a few months now and couldn’t imagine living anywhere better. I have made some great friends and had so much fun taking part in the wonderful activities.”

Vongai Mushinga, Home Manager at Chandler Court, said: “It was wonderful to see the residents singing and dancing in our café area to toast our special milestone. 

 “The whole team worked hard to organise the event, and I am delighted to say that their efforts were rewarded – our birthday party will definitely be one to remember for years to come. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who makes Chandler Court an amazing place to call home, and for helping to make the day extra special.  

“It’s been a busy four years. We’ve welcomed some real characters to the home, built relationships with brilliant local organisations, and worked hard to create a homely environment for everyone who spends time with us here at Chandler Court. We’re excited to see what’s in store for the next four years and beyond!”

Chandler Court is a state-of-the-art care home which provides full-time residential, dementia and nursing care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable its residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the care home has its very own cinema, café and hair salon, and there is plenty of space, both indoors and out, for relaxation and recreation.
