Give a little love – Shinfield care home invites frontline workers for a special treat this Valentine’s Day

Home news

A care home in Shinfield is giving frontline workers a tasty treat to collect on their way to work this Valentine’s Day.

The team at Care UK’s Parsons Grange, on Westall Street, is giving out free take-away breakfasts for those in the community as a small token of thanks for their hard work.

Frontline workers are encouraged to order their breakfast and then come along to the care home’s front door on Valentine’s Day between 9.00-11.00am to pick up a breakfast sandwich – which the team is organising as a treat to brighten their day on their way to work or way back from night shifts.

If you are a frontline worker, please phone the home to order a breakfast on us this Valentine’s Day.

The head chef at Parsons Grange is creating egg, bacon, sausage, and vegan breakfast baps to give out to those who play vital roles in the community, from local nurses and police to healthcare workers.

Rozina Ali, Home Manager at Parsons Grange, said: “We wanted to ’give a little love’ and organise a way to thank those in our local community who continue to work in frontline roles despite the challenges in recent years.

“Here at Parsons Grange, we’re keen to give back to local people. We thought what better day than Valentine’s Day to express love towards all those who are supporting our community day-in-day-out.

“The whole team are very much looking forward to welcoming the local community to the home for a tasty breakfast and can’t wait to thank keyworkers for all their efforts.

“If you are a frontline worker, please phone the home to order a breakfast on us this Valentine’s Day.”

Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, Parsons Grange care home has been designed with residents in mind. The home has plenty of space for leisure and hobby activities as well as a café, hair salon, bar and a cinema for residents to enjoy.
