Ipswich care home celebrates national award win

A care home in Ipswich is celebrating after its dedicated team was recognised at a national awards ceremony.

Care UK’s Asterbury Place, on Aster Road, received the Customer Service Award in the Residential Care Services (RCS) Stars Awards.

The awards recognise individual and team excellence at more than 150 care homes nationwide across Care UK’s RCS division.

The Asterbury Place team was praised for going above and beyond for residents all while involving their families every step of the way – no matter how far away they live. From sharing regular activity updates and working together on their loved ones’ care plans to facilitating calls to Australia and America, no task is too great or too small.

Judges were also impressed with the range of activities on offer, all designed to enable residents to lead fulfilling lives. This includes arts and crafts, live entertainment, clubs everyone can get involved with, in addition to music and pet therapy, and namaste care.
