A care home in Harrow is opening its doors for a day of family-friendly summer fun, with a host of exciting activities planned.
On Saturday 26th July from 2pm–4pm, the team at Care UK’s Buchanan Court, on Sudbury Hill, will be welcoming the people of Harrow for the home’s annual summer fete.
Guests are invited to dance along to live entertainment from Mike Marandi, who will be performing classic hits from across the decades.
There will also be a host of traditional garden games, including ‘Tin Can Alley’ and ‘Hook a Duck’, as well as a raffle and tombola with numerous prizes to be won. Light refreshments will be available throughout the day.
Those visiting will also have the opportunity to take a tour around Buchanan Court and see exactly what life is like at the home.
Laurentiu Lordachescu, Home Manager at Buchanan Court, said: “Maintaining strong relationships with the community is an important part of our ethos, and hosting our summer fair provides us with a wonderful opportunity to welcome the people of Harrow into our home.
“We are delighted to be able to celebrate summer together in style. Everyone is looking forward to having friends, family and neighbours joining us for a day of good old-fashioned fun, with lots of friendly competition too!
“We’re really excited to be seeing lots of familiar and new faces on the day – you won’t want to miss this.”
Buchanan Court provides full-time residential, dementia and nursing care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable its residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the care home has its very own cinema room, pub and hair and beauty salon, and there is plenty of space both indoors and out for relaxation and recreation.
