Care UK takes on management of eight Yorkare homes

Sector-leading provider, Care UK, is expanding its portfolio of care homes by taking over leadership and management of eight additional homes across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

The homes were transferred from award-winning, independent provider, Yorkare Homes, on Wednesday 1^st October.

The full list of care properties includes:

• Beverley Parklands, Beverley
• Driffield Manor, Driffield
• Louth Manor, Louth
• Magdalen Park, Hedon
• Mere Hall, Hornsea
• Sleaford Manor, Sleaford
• Tranby Park, Hessle
• Westfield Park, Goole

The deal also includes two care homes which are currently in construction. Care UK will operate these services once the homes open in the coming years.  

The eight purpose-built luxury care homes offer a mixture of residential, dementia and nursing care and will add 575 beds to their portfolio with around 700 colleagues joining Care UK.

Beverley Parklands and Magdalen Park are rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, with five of the other homes scored as ‘Good’. Driffield Manor, which opened this summer, has yet to be inspected.

This move comes almost a year after Care UK took on operation of six homes previously owned by Yorkshire-based Springfield Healthcare, and just a month after the announcement that two homes and a suite of independent living apartments from The Hollies Care Centre in Gloucestershire would be managed by the provider.

Care UK has more than 40 years’ experience of providing award-winning, high-quality care for older people. With the addition of these homes, Care UK now operates more than 170 homes across England, Scotland and Wales and has one of the highest care quality ratings in the country.
