Mere Hall is a stunning purpose-built care home located in the seaside town of Hornsea. Our dedicated teams provide high-quality residential and dementia care on a permanent and respite basis, alongside compassionate end-of life care.

The home has been thoughtfully designed with residents in mind and features a range of premium facilities, including an in-house bar, hair and beauty salon, and a bowling green. Each en-suite bedroom is tastefully decorated, with ground-floor residents benefitting from their own private patio areas. Our spacious couples’ suites are especially popular with couples or individuals who appreciate additional living space.

Families choose Mere Hall for its exceptional location overlooking Hornsea Mere and the surrounding countryside. Residents can enjoy birdwatching across the lake from the outdoor terraced balcony, creating a peaceful and relaxing environment.

It’s a very nurturing atmosphere, everyone is lovely and well-suited to the work. The care team come in to see how my loved one is and they bend down to her level, they sit with her when they have time, they hold her hand or put their hand on her shoulder and ask how she is feeling. They talk to her as a person, she’s not just another resident to tend to, they know her and they make sure she feels important.

They know our loved one very well, they know her ways and her interests and they support her to stay active and get involved with things in the home. It's a team effort and they make us feel like part of the care team. We get involved in regular reviews with the care team and the management and we're able to have our say and discuss our loved one's care in detail.
