A care home in Hammersmith is celebrating after being shortlisted for ‘The Care Home Team Award’ across London.
Care UK’s St Vincent’s House, on Queen Caroline Street, was announced as one the finalists for The Great British Care Awards, in the category ‘The Care Home Team Award’. The home was shortlisted within the London region for the care home’s dedication to providing exceptional care.

The Great British Care Awards recognise excellence in care and celebrate fantastic work from individuals and teams who excel in their roles and responsibilities within the care sector and across the UK.
The team was nominated for their hard work, compassion and commitment to creating a supportive environment for the residents. Judges praised how St Vincent’s House focuses on person-centred care, resulting in the residents enjoying a wide range of activities such as music therapy, gardening club and movie nights – all at their preference.
Judges also highlighted how the home’s Home Manager, Kerry Reyes, actively encourages her team to collaborate and communicate, fostering a culture that drives success and quality care.
The vibrancy of life and connection is at the core of the team’s approach to care. The activities and care provided are designed to engage and enrich the residents, creating opportunities for growth and shared experiences.
The culture embedded within the team is based on kindness, trust, respect, dedication, passion and love for both the residents as well as one another, which could be seen through their interactions.
Kerry Reyes, Home Manager at St Vincent’s House, said: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted for ‘The Care Home Team Award’. It is a true testament to the team's dedication and creative problem-solving to ensure that each resident has a happy and fulfilling life.
“At St Vincent’s House, we believe in opening our doors to the community, because care is not just about what we do within our walls, it’s about the web of support and understanding that we build together. That’s the essence of what makes the team at St Vincent’s so great!
“I'm very pleased with what we accomplish every day, and it's wonderful that everyone's efforts have been recognised.”
Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, St Vincent’s House, which remains open to potential residents, incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities. This includes a hair and beauty salon, a namaste room, a cinema, music room and more. The building has been designed to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities and encourage social interaction among the residents.
