A care home in Stanmore has pulled out all the stops to celebrate an important milestone with a VIP guest.
Care UK’s Woodland Hall, on Clamp Hill, welcomed Mayor of Harrow Councillor Anjana Patel, along with members of the community, to mark the home’s 30th birthday by cutting a ribbon.

Team members and residents dressed to impress for the special occasion, with the home decorated with bunting, balloons and decorations.
Morris Tamara, a one-man band who can sing over 40 languages, had Stanmore dancing with songs from all over the world.
Guests also enjoyed a wide selection of finger foods, desserts, and a delicious cake, crafted by Head Chef Fateh Saouli.
Resident Babs Inwood, said: “I love the events at Woodland Hall. It is so lovely to meet our neighbours and celebrate our home's birthday together!
Andreea Zara, Home Manager at Woodland Hall, said: “It’s been fantastic to celebrate our 30th birthday in style with our wonderful community, from the music to the decorations and, of course, the wonderful food.
“Thirty years is a huge milestone and we’re proud of everything we’ve accomplished since our opening, whether that’s making countless wishes come true or winning national awards. Residents loved celebrating the many happy years they’ve had here and sharing stories about their favourite moments.
“I’d like to extend a huge thank you to our dedicated team for making Woodland Hall a wonderful place to call home. Hosting community events is our favourite way to connect with local people, and the guests made it such a memorable birthday!”
Woodland Hall has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and enable residents to lead active and fulfilling lives. The home provides full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, as well as short-term respite care.
