The provider’s annual internal awards ceremony - Care UK Stars - saw more than 360 colleagues from across 18 regions come together as 23 awards were announced last week.
Awards ranged from ‘Apprentice of the Year’ to ‘Region of the Year’, and ‘Most Improved Home’; with all awards showcasing the hard work of all nominees, and celebrating the stories of the winning regions, teams and individual colleagues.
The full list of winners is as follows:
Some accolades, such as the ‘Most Improved Region’ award, used a range of internal and external performance data to identify significant improvements over the past 12 months.
Other awards, including ‘Lifestyle Colleague of the Year’ and ‘Deputy Manager of the Year’ are decided through nominations in addition to performance based data.
This year, there were over 5,500 nominations, making the shortlisting process even more of a challenge. From nominees to winners, colleagues from across the organisation are celebrating their achievements and reflecting on the past year of hard work after the event.
Andrew Knight, Chief Executive Officer of Care UK, was in attendance and said of the event: “Care UK Stars is one of the highlights of our year - a moment when we pause, come together, and shine a light on the remarkable people who make Care UK what it is. Every day, across every home, our colleagues bring warmth, dedication and compassion to the lives of residents and their families. It’s a privilege to celebrate that commitment with them.”
