Anning House

Welcome to Anning House

Our home sits in the historic part of this charming Dorset seaside town. Here our dedicated team provide nursing, dementia and residential care, as well as short term respite care.

With a calm and welcoming atmosphere, residents enjoy the open views onto the seafront or our beatifully landscaped gardens - home to our pet chickens. Our location means residents can access many nearby amenities, and there are excellent connections to the road and rail network.

Our modern home provides luxury in every area, from our stylish lounges and our range of ensuite bedrooms. We have something for everybody and provide high-quality care and quality of life. We provide a varied activity programme and our minibus outings to local areas of interest are a hit with residents.

How we are doing

When you’re choosing care for a loved one, trust is fundamental to your decision. Take a look at some of our reviews from family members and residents.

How we are doing reviews

CQC Rating: Requires Improvement

We are working very hard to ensure that the service we provide is of the highest quality. We are aware that CQC have highlighted we need to make improvements to our service, we have a comprehensive service improvement plan in place to ensure we are acting to make changes that will be sustained and embedded. Much progress has already been made and it was reassuring to read that the inspectors found that the team has a caring attitude. We have appointed a new manager who is already completing the CQC Registered Manager process. Please ask the home manager if you wish to discuss the contents of our service improvement plan.

We are very pleased to be able to say that, as the Spring booster Covid vaccination is being provided to residents in our homes, the additional protection and our continued infection prevention and control measures means we can start ‘living with Covid’ and regain more normality in day-to-day care home life.
