Welcome to Anning House

Anning House is a calm and welcoming care home in the seaside town of Weymouth. Our dedicated care team provide high-quality nursing, dementia and residential care on a permanent and respite basis. We also offer kind and compassionate end of life care.

Our modern care home provides luxury in every area, from our stylish lounges, café, cinema room, bar and hair and beauty salon. There are a range of tastefully decorated ensuite bedrooms, many of which have open views onto the seafront or our beautifully landscaped gardens.

Located in the historic part of this charming Dorset seaside town, our location means residents can access many nearby amenities and there are excellent connections to the road and rail network. We provide a varied activity programme and our minibus outings to local areas of interest are a hit with residents.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Anning House care home.

The activities are fantastic... there is so much going on! They have music, exercise classes, arts and crafts and people visiting with alpacas, owls and all manner of creatures great and small. Children from the local school visit occasionally, and they will sit with the residents drawing and chatting. There are day trips to the local garden centre and boat rides along the river. The events team are amazing. So much care and attention goes into keeping everyone happy and engaged.

The team members are genuinely caring people. They are wonderful with my loved one and are always there for him. They are genuinely interested in him. They know and understand him, and they will do anything in their power to make him happy. If he is agitated or upset about something, they kneel down beside him, hold his hand, listen to him and comfort him... he is never dismissed or ignored.

It's a wonderful atmosphere in the home, mainly due to the team. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly; nothing is too much trouble. All you have to do is comment on something and they respond immediately... they really listen when you are speaking, and their top priority is helping the residents and their families in any way they can.
