Shannon Hamilton

With 10 years of experience in the health and social care sector, my role as Home Manager is to lead our team in delivering safe, compassionate, and person‑centred care.

I oversee the day‑to‑day running of the home, ensure we meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, and support both residents and colleagues to thrive.

My greatest passion lies in end‑of‑life care and dementia care. Supporting individuals and their families through some of life’s most sensitive moments is an honour that I never take for granted. Helping residents feel understood, valued, and comforted—whether through a reassuring conversation or ensuring their wishes are respected—brings a deep sense of meaning to my work.

For me, ‘Care from the Heart’ means seeing every resident as a unique individual with their own story, preferences, and needs. It’s about delivering care with empathy and dignity, creating an environment where people feel safe, respected, and truly at home.

I believe my impact comes from creating a culture where kindness, teamwork, and open communication are at the forefront. By supporting and empowering my colleagues, I strive to build a strong and unified team that consistently delivers exceptional care. Looking ahead, I am committed to developing further initiatives that enhance wellbeing, strengthen relationships, and ensure Coppice Lea remains a warm and supportive place for everyone.

I have more than 13 years' experience in nursing and healthcare leadership across hospitals, care homes and community settings.

My passion is supporting residents to maintain dignity, independence and the best possible quality of life through compassionate, person-centred care. I enjoy building strong relationships with residents, families and colleagues, and helping teams achieve excellent outcomes.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and spending quality time with my wife and son.

With 12 years as a Head Chef and qualifications in French cuisine and bakery, I enjoy creating delicious meals tailored to residents' preferences.

Seeing residents enjoy what we prepare is the best part of my day. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my children, family and mother.

I joined Coppice Lea four years ago after a long career in construction administration, including 26 years as an Office Manager within an architectural practice.

I enjoy building relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues, and find it incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that families can trust during important moments in their loved one's lives.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going on holiday and walking my dog, Nala.

I have worked across the care sector for more than 15 years and am passionate about helping residents feel at home.

Together with my team, I focus on creating a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment. Outside work, I enjoy long walks, nature and staying active.

Our hardworking teams always keep individuals and their families at the heart of the care they provide. We work with you to shape the care your loved one receives, the food they’re served, the activities and experiences they want to do – even the ways they prefer to keep in touch with their friends and family. 

Home support roles

From catering to maintenance, housekeeping to administration, our home support teams play a crucial part in ensuring individuals enjoy an exceptional and safe service every day.

All our teams get to know each person they care for to ensure they provide a service that’s designed around their unique needs and tastes. 

Infection control

Every colleague receives training in infection prevention and control as part of their induction and updates regularly through online and in-person learning. Our dedicated IPC Champions in each home help embed safe working practices and raise awareness of hygiene standards.

Nurses

The nurses at Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.

Lifestyle

Our dedicated lifestyle teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know your loved one to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.
