Meet our friendly care team

It is the people who make our home a truly happy and caring one. At Edgbaston Manor, our experienced team of dedicated professionals all undergo Care UK's in-depth training programme. The whole team works to make sure that residents' needs are at the heart of everything they do and that personalised care is always provided.

Zoe Steventon

General Manager

Zoe Steventon

My name is Zoe and I am the General Manager at the home.

I have been a registered Nurse for 16 years and have ten years' care home experience too. I am very open and honest and welcome any feedback you would like to share. I enjoy spending time with my family, I have one daughter and my favourite place in the world is Cornwall.

Feel free to ask me about any queries or if you have any questions when you visit our home, my door is always open.

Becky Kneller
Deputy Manager

My passion lies with older people's care and I am always happy to help. In 2009 I became a carer at my previous nursing home, and in 2011 I qualified as a General Nurse and was then promoted to a Clinical Lead in 2016 and a Deputy Manager in 2018. I thrive off the team's ethos and seeing happy residents. Please feel free to ask me anything, I am always happy to help.

Natasha Hines
Home Admissions Advisor

I'm Natasha but everybody calls me Tasha, and I am the Home Admissions Adviser here. For the past three years I have been the home's Activities Coordinator which has given me such joy. My passion is working with older people, it is such a rewarding job that I take great pride in. It has been lovely to see our community grow in the last few years and I am so proud of the team that I work with, it really is a family environment here.

Laura Lloyd
Activities Coordinator

I’m an experienced Activities Coordinator and I worked in a dementia care home prior to joining the team here at Edgbaston Manor.

I adore everything about my job and my aim each day is to ensure every resident has a smile and enjoys varied, fun and rewarding activities. Communication, flexibility and choice are central to that. This is the residents’ home, so if they fancy doing something different to what’s planned, I’m always led by them. I always give them options and they’re free to choose.

I believe it’s also important to be constantly improving what I do. I'm always looking at new things we can try at Edgbaston Manor. Everything is done with residents' and relatives' feedback and input.

I have a degree in English and Drama, so, in my spare time, I enjoy going to the theatre. I also enjoy yoga, cooking, drawing and painting – in fact, many of the things that we enjoy doing at Edgbaston Manor!

Kelsey Green
Business Administrator

I have worked in the profession of Business Administrator for over 4 years now and it brings me nothing but joy. I love that my job is all about making people smile, laugh and creating wonderful memories for the residents. I

n this environment you become one big family, which is another reason why I love my job. Seeing a residents’ face after something you’ve done for them or with them is like a warm hug in winter and who doesn’t need one of those?

Carl Cooper
Head Chef

I started out working in care just over ten years' ago as a Kitchen Assistant, I worked my way up to becoming Head Chef within my first three years of working there. The experience and opportunities that were given to me has helped me achieve the role I have today. I am so happy to now be working here and my colleagues and residents are amazing. I live in West Bromwich with my family and, in my spare time, my youngest daughter and I bake for the older people who live on our estate, a place that we have known for over 20 years.

Andrea Webb
Memory Care Lead

My passion lies in helping people and I love a good challenge. Working with individuals living with dementia is very rewarding and I enjoy every day as each day is always different. I have been working in care since 2015 and here since 2018. I started as a Carer and then went on to qualify in Principles in Dementia Care Level 3 which provided me with the knowledge to take on my current role as Memory Care Lead.

Esme Nancarrow
Head Housekeeper

I have been with the home since 2019, and took over as Head Housekeeper in 2021. For me the most important aspect of my role is creating a clean and safe environment for residents, upholding the highest standards every day. It is vital that residents, families and colleagues have a bright and fresh place to be at all times, and that each resident is given a tailored service to suit their personal preferences, whether this be the time their housekeeping is completed, the way their trousers are pressed, or the type of fragrance used within their rooms.

Anne
Resident Ambassador

I have lived here since July 2017 and the team here are just wonderful, day and night. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with attention to detail. The team have great communication with my family and they can all visit whenever they like which is always so lovely. The cleanliness of the home is to perfection and I cannot praise enough. The team attend to every need and I am very happy to call this my home. Please ask me anything if you wish to visit and I would be happy to answer your questions.

Gerry
Resident Ambassador

I have lived here since July 2018 - it is an excellent home and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. The staff here are grand and I have made some great friends here. They all keep us busy with tasks to do and all of the eating of good food throughout the day too. My family are happy because I am happy. Anything I ask for or I want is always an easy task. Living here really is like living with a big family. Please feel free to view my room or ask me anything about the home.
