Hayley Rix

Home Manager

I have worked in the care sector since 2005. I began my career as a Support Worker for adults with learning disabilities before becoming a CQC Registered Manager in 2009. Since then, I have managed a variety of care settings, including domiciliary care, supported living, residential care, and nursing care, before joining Gildawood Court.

I enjoy the variety that each day in a care home brings. It is my responsibility to ensure our residents receive the best possible care, that they are listened to, and that their individual needs are met. It is equally important to me that colleagues feel supported in their roles so they can provide the best possible care for our residents.

I believe it is a team effort, and by working together, we can continue to develop the home and create a positive environment for residents, relatives, and colleagues.

I began working in care after supporting to care for my nan and grandad during the end of their lives. I feel that it is a privilege to be given the opportunity and trust to help others when they are no longer able to help themselves independently.

Hi, I'm Victoria, and I've been a Wellbeing Coordinator for nearly five years.

I'm passionate about creating meaningful activities that help residents stay active, connected, and engaged. I enjoy building relationships, organising events, and working with families and the local community to create a warm, welcoming environment. Seeing the happiness that shared experiences bring is the most rewarding part of my role.

I hold qualifications in professional cookery and management and have more than three years' experience working in care home kitchens.

I enjoy working alongside residents and colleagues to create enjoyable dining experiences every day.

Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, watching my local football team and spending time with my family.

I bring more than 35 years of administrative experience and have proudly been part of the Gildawood Court team since 2021.

I enjoy supporting residents and their families from their very first enquiry through to becoming part of our home, and I feel privileged to be part of that journey.

Outside of work, I enjoy crafting, spending time with my family and practising Reiki.

Nurses

The nurses at Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.

Lifestyle

Our dedicated lifestyle teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know your loved one to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.

Home support roles

From catering to maintenance, housekeeping to administration, our home support teams play a crucial part in ensuring individuals enjoy an exceptional and safe service every day.

All our teams get to know each person they care for to ensure they provide a service that’s designed around their unique needs and tastes. 

Infection control

Every colleague receives training in infection prevention and control as part of their induction and updates regularly through online and in-person learning. Our dedicated IPC Champions in each home help embed safe working practices and raise awareness of hygiene standards.
