Friendship, fine food, fun and wellbeing fill each day at our Whitstable nursing home.
Keeping active and independent is the secret to good health and wellbeing in later life. That’s why the Harrier Lodge team are passionate about supporting your loved one to do the things they enjoy, surrounded by friends, family and 24-hour support. It’s for that reason that we learn all we can about them, so we can tailor all aspects of their care and lifestyle to suit them.
Activities designed around your loved one
Living at our Faversham nursing home is all about choice and flexibility. If your loved one enjoys the reassurance of a routine, we’ll support them to do rewarding tasks around the home, from helping to prepare vegetables for dinner to keeping the garden looking lovely.
If they prefer group activities, there’s a wealth of music, exercise, cookery and creative classes available. And if one-to-one activities are more of interest, we’ll support your loved one to do whatever they fancy, from a personal pamper session to a trip out for some sea air.
Our care home in Whitstable is all about family
We love to welcome residents’ family and friends at any time – there are no set visiting hours at Harrier Lodge. Come and do an activity with your loved one, have lunch together or catch up over tea in the café. We recently had three generations of one family enjoying a live match and a beer in the cinema; we hope you also come to view Harrier Lodge as an extension of your own home.
Part of the Whitstable and Faversham community
Everyone likes to feel a part of local life, and this is particularly key as we get older. Our team has worked hard to forge strong links with local businesses, community groups, churches, schools and Girl Guide groups to ensure that there's always someone popping in to chat to, do activities with, or entertain, residents.
Food, glorious food at Harrier Lodge
Everyone comes together to enjoy the delicious and nutritious meals served up by our chef-led kitchen team. There’s a wide choice of dishes designed around residents’ tastes and their dietary and cultural needs. Colleagues sit with residents to encourage them to eat and, while we support people to eat independently, we will always support your loved one if they need it.
