At Milner House we believe in supporting your loved one to live a fulfilling life, enjoying activities and pastimes that are tailored to their individual interests.
Our weekly programme of activities can range from painting to reminiscence, film shows to arts and crafts. Many residents enjoy playing card or board games, and the visits from the Pets as Therapy dogs are always popular.
Our location means that the seaside towns of Brighton and Littlehampton are an easy journey. We like to go on country drives or to a restaurant or garden centre for lunch.
Some residents find meaning and purpose from helping with small tasks around Milner House itself. We have keen gardeners and flower arrangers, or your loved one is welcome to help with a spot of DIY.
Enjoying good food
Mealtimes are always a sociable occasion at Milner House. Our dining rooms are laid out bistro-style, with small tables all beautifully laid. Your loved one can choose from a range of dishes, and we can cater for different dietary needs and cultural requirements. We sometimes have themed meals too – for example, for Chinese New Year or Burn’s Night.
You are welcome to visit your loved one at any time, and stay for as long as you wish. We love seeing relatives enjoying a meal with their loved one, or taking part in an activity or outing.
A part of the community
Milner House has strong links with the community in Leatherhead, which helps residents to feel connected to what’s happening locally. Children from nearby schools come to perform for residents on special occasions such as Christmas and the Harvest Festival. We have regular entertainers visit us to give performances, and members of local churches and charities are often popping in to spend time with residents.
We understand that faith is important to many residents. We support residents to attend local places of worship. A member of the Roman Catholic church comes to the home once a month to give Holy Communion.
