Murrayside care home, Corstorphine, located in Edinburgh is dedicated to provide high quality and person-centered care, providing nursing, residential, dementia and short-term respite care.

From our beautiful landscaped gardens designed by Annie Pollock to our hotel-style facilities including café, cinema, hair and beauty salon and activities room your loved one can explore. We even have a beautiful view of the castle from our terrace.

At Murrayside our Lifestyle team also provide daily activities, one-to-one activities, community events and day trips to ensure that all residents can continue their hobbies and interests.

We are proud to have been internally accredited with the evidence-based, person-centered Care Fit for VIPS.

Take a well-earned break knowing you’re loved one is in safe hands. Unwind with a cuppa and home-baked treats in our warm and welcoming cafe, meet fellow carers and share experiences while your loved one joins in reminiscence and namaste activities with our dementia care team on the last Thursday of every month, 2pm - 4pm.

There are an incredible number of activities. I can't imagine anyone being unable to find something they like to do based on their interests. They have a particularly strong activities team who go out of their way to provide something for everyone... they have a wish tree, if a resident expresses that they want to go somewhere or do something, they make sure it happens if its practical.

My loved one has dementia, and the staff are well-trained in how to deal with his condition. They always take time to ensure he understands what’s happening and approach him in a way he doesn't find threatening, they never stand above him, they come down to him in his chair... they show great patience and consideration in the care they provide. They always take time with me too when I visit, not only to tell me about my loved one, but they ask how I am doing... they take a genuine interest in both of us.
