Care UK’s Addington Heights care home in Croydon is inviting local people to visit the home on Milne Park West on Saturday 18th June to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.
From 2pm until 4pm, the team at Addington Heights will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy live entertainment throughout the afternoon and refreshments will be available. All those who drop-by on the day can take a tour of Addington Heights and meet residents and the Care UK team at the home.
Tony Onabanjo, home manager at Addington Heights, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents through building lasting relationships with the local community across the generations.
“Opening our doors is also a great opportunity to show what life is really like in a modern care home; and we hope to change any preconceptions people might have while also showing everything Addington Heights has to offer.
“We have got a fun day of activities planned and are really looking forward to getting behind Care Home Open Day on Saturday 18th June and welcoming the people of Croydon to be a part of it.”
Visitors to the Care Home Open Day event at Addington Heights will also be able to pick up their copy of Care UK’s Eating as we Age.
