We've been supporting people to live fulfilling lives for over 30 years.
At Care UK, we care for older people in warm, friendly and comfortable care homes across England and Scotland.
Our 10,500-plus colleagues provide a wide range of quality care services, ranging from residential and nursing care, to day care, respite care, dementia care and end-of-life care. While we care for some 7,000 people in over 100 care homes, each resident receives care and support that’s tailored to their individual needs, interests and wishes.
The Care UK promise
As one of the UK’s largest and top care home providers, it should come as no surprise that our team enjoys an award-winning training and induction programme and that our care is built around the latest academic research and knowledge. Our high standards are clearly evident in the care we provide, making sure all residents get the most out of every day by having fun, staying safe, and keeping as healthy and active as possible. Fulfilling lives by living our values
Our vision is to be the UK’s favourite care provider, helping residents to lead fulfilling lives in any way they choose, but always with care that’s personalised to their needs and wishes.
Fulfilling lives is our promise to deliver outstanding care to every resident, every day, and it underpins everything we do. It’s instilled in our values, of Caring, Passionate and Teamwork which shape how we work as an organisation, as care homes, and as caring professionals supporting residents.
We all shape our values
Inspired by our corporate values of Caring, Passionate and Teamwork, our home teams have been shaping their own individual visions and sets of values. Their impressive efforts have been motivating our teams to deliver the best care in their individual settings.

How we provide quality care
Our vision of Fulfilling lives structures our approach to care quality, through our four pillars of care:
Health and wellbeing
Our track record of quality service comes from being focused on answering the specific needs of each person we care for. This person centred approach enables us to see life through the eyes of each resident, working with them and their family to understand their personality and preferences so that we can create a care plan that’s as unique as they are.
Living well with dementia
Our teams are passionate about providing services and support that enable residents living with dementia to enjoy meaningful experiences, helping to reduce their anxiety and enhance their wellbeing. We have partnered with the Association for Dementia Studies at the University of Worcester, who have helped us develop and deliver Fulfilling Lives dementia training– a bespoke programme that reaches all our teams, from carers and nurses to our maintenance and housekeeping teams.
We also work closely with Dr Nori Graham, a renowned dementia expert, to ensure our dementia strategy is answering the changing needs of the UK’s older population. Read more about our approach to dementia care.
We believe in helping every person to live as independently as possible and enjoy the best quality of life. Our philosophy is to provide meaningful lifestyles. We support residents to continue enjoying lifelong activities and interests, or to try something new. Some residents like to do light tasks around the home to feel useful and valued, while others enjoy the entertainments and outings we organise.
Dining with dignity
At Care UK we’re spearheading innovation across care home catering. This includes evolving tasty, nutritious recipes for different dietary needs, enhancing food presentation, driving the use of fresh produce and new catering technologies, creating bespoke dementia-friendly crockery, and enhancing training for chefs and catering teams.
As a result, we have created a dining experience that residents look forward to, where they are more relaxed and are supported to eat more. Find out more about our approach to food and dining.
People you can trust
We understand that finding the right care home for a loved one, and moving them into their new home, can be a difficult experience for all the family. That’s why we recruit our home teams as much for their caring nature as for their experience. Our homes are full of compassionate and inspirational professionals who put their hearts and souls into creating a happy and loving environment for residents and their families.
