Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Miles Roberts, aged 40, has since 2002 been Group Finance Director of McBride PLC, the household consumer products group. Prior to joining McBride PLC Miles was Group Finance Director of Costain Group PLC, the international engineering and building group. Previous roles have included Finance Director at Three Valleys Water and Financial Controller of Vivendi UK, the UK water subsidiary. Miles is an ACA and holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Bristol University.

Mr. Roberts will from appointment Chair the Group's Audit Committee.

Commenting on Mr. Roberts's appointment, John Nash, Chairman, said:

"We are very pleased to be able to announce the appointment of Miles as a Non-Executive Director. His significant PLC experience across a variety of industries will further strengthen the Board as we continue to take the Group forward."
