Care UK employs e-learning provider for care staff

Care UK delivers residential, community, acute and primary care services in partnership with the public sector and employs over 9,500 staff at over 200 locations throughout Britain.

Acquired by ThirdForce Plc in September, 2005, Creative Learning Media (CLM) is an award winning provider of e-learning solutions specialising in the food, hospitality and healthcare sectors. It is the first UK company to offer an e-learning solution that meets all of the Government's Common Induction Standards.

From September 2006, the Government will require all non-clinical care workers throughout the care sector to comply with a set of Common Induction Standards. Creative Learning Media will deliver training to Care UK in these standards and in areas including the protection of vulnerable adults (POVA), patient care, infection control, food hygiene and health and safety. It will also provide a complete, outsourced training management and support service.

The first phase of the new training programme will be rolled out to care and healthcare assistants as well as support carers from 31st May 2006.
