Children at Mead Primary School have left their mark on the history of East Grinstead and its new care home.
Care UK invited the pupils to put together a time capsule which they buried at Care UK's new care home in Dunnings Road.
Head Teach Rhona Perry said: "Care UK wanted the school to get involved at the new home from day one. By burying the time capsule we will be cementing forever the link between the school and the home."
"We put in a teddy wearing the school jumper and a copy of the East Grinstead Courier and Observer."
"The children also wanted to put in things they thought people in the future might not use any more, like a tape measure and a pencil. It was very special."
