Entertainer Steve Robbins joined us for a special afternoon tea event which saw us raise £85 for Dementia UK as part of Time for a Cuppa day, on Monday 27th February.
Time for a Cuppa was about bringing people together across the country to hold an event at home, in the workplace or in the community to help raise much-needed funds to support the work of Dementia UK, a charity dedicated to improving life for people with dementia.
Milner House manager Tosh Latchman said: “There were special cakes and buns which our kitchen team made to go with the teas and coffees. We invited friends, carers and relatives along with people and organisations from the local community and we had a good turnout.
“We wanted to raise as much as possible for Dementia UK. Some of the residents live with dementia so this is a cause close to our hearts. More and more people are suffering from this now but there is a lot that can be done and the money helps to provide everything from advice through to special equipment.”
