Beat the Christmas rush

Company news

There will be a chance to get an early start to your Christmas shopping and for the children to have fun in Father Christmas’ Grotto at Care UK’s Mill View residential home.

The home, in Dunnings Road, East Grinstead, opens its doors to visitors on Tuesday 13th November.

Father Christmas has agreed to take a short break from working on his Christmas ‘naughty and nice’ lists to meet children in his grotto and there will be pony rides and face painting to keep them entertained.

There’s also a Christmas market that will solve everyone’s gift dilemmas. Organiser and Client Relations Manager Alison Heath said: “We have some fantastic stalls selling handmade knitwear, patchwork and jewellery. There will be stalls selling handbags, fudge, cards, pictures and wrapping paper as well as some beautiful traditional toiletries made using natural ingredients.”

Local authors Philip and Lady Chitty will be selling their books and there will be refreshments, including candy floss and popcorn.

Alison said: “We have many friends in the community, particularly amongst the local schools, so we hope everyone will come and join us between 3pm-6pm for a bit of fun and relaxed shopping.”
