Cambridge home opens its doors for Christmas fair

Company news

Fun, games and the chance to meet Father Christmas awaits visitors to Care UK’s Hinton Grange care home in Cambridge on Friday 7th December.

Residents at the Bullen Close home have been making cards, pictures, knitwear and crafts for their stalls and getting ready to welcome visitors, and Santa, to the fair, open between 2.30-4pm.

Home Manager Sam Lambourne said: “We have some very talented residents who are creating some beautiful things and they always make some very tasty cakes for their cake stall.

“We also have some fun games including ‘guess the weight of the Christmas cake’ contest, a tombola and a very special raffle that includes bumper hampers and vouchers, which have generously been donated by local businesses.”

As well as refreshments, visitors will also be able to enjoy entertainment from local singer Mike Richardson. Sam said: “There’s going to be a whole heap of seasonal fun and no entry fee, so come along and join the team and the residents in our winter wonderland.”
