Ceremonial dragon slaying part of Kingsleigh celebrations

The “slaying” of a paper dragon will be part of the St George’s Day celebrations at Care UK’s Kingsleigh Care Home in Woking.

The Mayor Councillor Michael Smith and Mayoress Mrs Anne Smith will join the party on April 23rd which will include a traditional English tea of sandwiches and scones and patriotic decorations featuring balloons and a flag of St George.

Friends of Kingsleigh and regular visitors, singing due Barry and Maureen will be providing musical entertainment and leading a sing along of familiar tunes.

Kingsleigh Manager, Wendy Dodimead said: “We like to celebrate all the patriotic days and we are delighted the Mayor and Mayoress will be joining us this year.”
