Care UK invites the Mildenhall community to name its new care home

Members of the public are being invited to help name a new care home which will be constructed at Great Heath, near St John’s Close in Mildenhall.

Work on the new care home, which will be run by Care UK, starts in May and once construction is complete in summer 2014, it will be home for up to 60 older people from the Mildenhall community.

Chris Hopkinson, Regional Operations Director at Care UK said: “We hope that local people will come up with interesting suggestions which will stand the test of time. We really hope this opportunity will fire people's imagination and creativity.”

He added: “Whether local people are inspired by famous figures of the county, key milestones in the town’s history or a family or community story, Care UK welcomes all suggestions and are looking forward to uncovering some interesting tales.”

Entry forms can be downloaded from www.careuk.com/giveourhomeaname. The deadline for entries is 20^th May 2013 and the top suggestion made by a member of the public will receive a £100 ‘Love2Shop’ voucher. The final shortlist will feature suggestions from the public, the Care UK team and Care UK residents and their relatives, with a final choice being made in June. 

Mildenhall is a town full of historical and cultural tales; most widely known for the large Mildenhall RAF and Lakenheath RAF centres, the town also has a vibrant weekly market and the local museums tells the story of the Mildenhall treasure.
