Not two for tea but 60!

Home news

Larkland’s tea dances have become a runaway success not only with residents but with the Ascot community too and the home was delighted to have 60 people cutting a rug at their latest dance.

Old friends from the Ascot Day Centre as well as new from the Berkshire Carers Dementia Group joined in recently for another party DJ’d by 85-years young Sid Wells.

Customer Advisor Stephanie McKenzie said: “It’s fabulous to see just so many people having fun, socialising and doing the thing they love the most.

“Everyone was dancing to YMCA, either in their chairs or up on the dance floor, and one gentleman danced through the whole event – I had to admire his energy!”

The dances are free and happen every six weeks and residents hope to be joined next time by some new friends from Age UK.

If you would like to find out more about the tea dances you can call Stephanie on 01344 798 664.
