We put on the kettle and put our best foot forward for tea dance fun

Home news

Our 1950s tea dance held on Wednesday 24th July involved all of our residents’ favourite things – music, dancing, tea and cake! The event was held in our lovely gardens and was a great success!

Care UK’s preferred supplier PG Tips kindly provided us with a selection of six different flavoured teas and a CD of 1950s music.

As part of the event a panel of 5 residents and our business manager did a taste test to see which tea was the favourite. The ladies enjoyed the rosehip and raspberry teas the best while the men liked the English Breakfast tea the most. The overall favourite was the peppermint tea.

Our manager, Kumaree said: “Everyone enjoyed having tea and cake in the garden and we will definitely be doing this more often.”
