New activities room opening soon

Home news

We are getting very close to opening Hadrian Park’s new activity room and already our activities coordinator is challenging residents.

The new room, which will open in October, has been decorated with elements of nature and is packed with craft materials and jumbo-sized popular games.

Our activities coordinator Karen Young said: “The residents love nature and the room has been decorated with plants and butterflies. There are also lots of photographs of residents, past and present, on the walls in beautiful butterfly frames.

“The residents also love playing games and we have new big versions of skittles, Cluedo and Connect 4, as well as an indoor version of basketball.”

The room is the third we have opened in recent years, including Lily’s music room and Poppy’s 1950s reminiscence room. Karen is now asking residents’ to put on their thinking caps and come up with a name for the new activities room.

A prize will be presented to the winner during the room’s official opening party in October.

Keep watching our website to find out our new room’s name and to see pictures from the party.
